WHO
IS/ARE/AM THE OVERTIME THEATER
The Overtime
Theater was founded by John Poole to create a new theater space
for original play writing, visual art and other stuff that John
Poole can act the fool in.
We produce only
One Act Plays (an hour or less), and only original or newly
translated/adapted work. WE DON'T DO COVERS!
We struggle to
keep away from the 'seven bad words' and their progeny while
also struggling to present material that will challenge our
audience without lecturing them.
We also hope to
make lots of money. Which is why we are for-profit. And why we
only charge $9 for humans, $5 for teachers. It’s all about
volume, baby!
We think
mission statements are for The Alamo only, and if you want to
get to know us better, then come catch a show! If you
would like to get a taste of what we've done before, check out
the archives.
Be an Agent of the Overtime! You! Yes you! can
be a part of The Overtime!
We need Agents
to assist us in:
-hospitality
-videography
-digital recording
-technical support
-singing, dancing, acting
-painting and handicrafts
As we are a
for-profit venture, we do not have volunteers. But if you
believe in our vision, have a couple hours a week (or even less)
and give a crap about the world around you, then be an Agent of
the Overtime! Contact us today!
