- ALL KINDS OF HOT -

March-April 2008

This original, one-act play opened March 21.  The show is written by San Antonio fireman Scott McDowell, whose previous play, "A Fireman's Tale," premiered at the Overtime Theater in October 2007 and was praised for "deftly weaving funny lines and situations into … real-life facts" (San Antonio Express-News).

 

 

- SOB, CHOKE, LOVE -
February 2008

Adapted from actual romance comics from the late 60's and early 70's, Sob! Choke! ... LOVE! tells several stories of young shenanigans and romance.

 

 

- SAT PLAYWRIGHTS FESTIVAL -
January 2008

An evening of ten minute plays embracing some of the finest writing talent in San Antonio. Original music will also be provided by local musicians and art from San Antonio Fiber Artists will be featured in the Gallery.

 

 

- FLINCH GORDON -
December 2007

Flinch Gordon and The Return of Ping the Perilous is the latest creation by John Poole and the demons who haunt his bowels at night. Starring local favorites Deborah Basham-Burns, Scott McDowell and apparently John Poole as well, Flinch is a musical romp through the Galaxy that is sure to please and more than likely haunt your dreams, and not in a good way. 

 

 

- HEINRICH HATES CHILDREN -
October 2007

Inspired by the poems of Heinrich Hoffman, Rebecca Coffey has imagined a strange bizarre place, a place that could only have produced–The Hoffman Sisters! With original music by Matt Barker and the S*** City Dream Girls. With Sophie Boles, Brandi Leman, John Poole, and Lucy Villanueva.

 

 

- THE FIREMAN’S TALE -
October 2007

Dig this-it’s a play about being a fireman in San Antonio, by a fireman in San Antonio!! Scott McDowell takes time away from his regular gig in the SAFD to correct some myths and reveal some truths about one of the most important jobs in any city. Starring Kelly Ford, Ashley McCurdy John Poole, Johnny Romero, Lucy Villanueva and Scott McDowell as the Beaver.
